
My volunteering year in Romania was full of life and challenges. I worked with teenagers aged 12–20, creating workshops on personal development, life skills, and anti-bullying, and sometimes just playing games or having simple conversations with them. I also had the chance to share my culture — I gave English lessons, presented about Jordan, and even cooked traditional food together with the group.
I collaborated with volunteers from different countries, and together we built small projects like environmental campaigns and activities for children with special needs. Of course, there were challenges, but they taught me to be flexible, to adapt, and to find quick solutions.
During that year, I learned Romanian, improved my English, and became more confident in leading groups and connecting with people. Most importantly, I felt part of something meaningful — making a real impact in the community and in the lives of young people.
