Anya Chan
Volunteer from Ukraine
I am Anya, an ESC volunteer of Youth Initiatives for Community facilitated by AIDE. I was born and raised in Ukraine but my parents are from Vietnam. I know 5 languages: Ukrainian, Russian, English, Vietnamese and Chinese. I’ve finished my Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Languages, so basically I’m a translator.
I’m a real people person, and can find any ways of communication with you, regardless of how shy you might be. I’m open to any challenges and ready to break all the stereotypes that people label me.
When I first saw the project – I instantly knew that this is what I was looking for. I always was interested in youth and education, so this project is a perfect chance for me to help youngsters to develop their personal as well as professional background. I couldn’t be happier to be at this project, to see how happy the kids and teenagers are whenever I do some activities and workshops with them. It makes my day to see the excitement whenever I enter the room. I believe this project will help me to develop my skills in every sphere. Beyond grateful for this opportunity!
